PRSSA Position: VP of Finance
Hometown: San Jose, California
If you won the lottery and never had to work again, how would you spend your time?
I would travel and try and go to as many countries as possible and live like a local to truly experience them.
If you could start any new club or organization on campus, what would it be and why?
I’m not sure if we have one since there is not really any snow in Alabama, but I would want to start a skiing and snowboarding club.
What on-campus (including the strip) cuisine is your absolute favorite?
I am a super big fan of Moe’s Southwest (their queso is awesome), and they haven’t made it to California yet. I also love Maki Fresh.
What is your secret addiction?
I’m not sure if it’s secret but I’m obsessed with microwave popcorn.
What has been your best learning experience in college, either in or out of the classroom?
I think one of the best learning experiences I have had was last year when I was a Fundraising Committee Chair for PRSSA. We had a month long mini-campaign competition which really illustrated to me how much hard work goes into campaigns. Even though it sometimes felt like everything went wrong during our campaign, I learned a lot and had so much fun.
What inspired you to choose PR as your major?
Technically I am not a PR major; I am a PR minor, but I really want to get involved in corporate communication, and I thought PR would give me some more practical skills that would help me.
What would be your dream job after graduation?
I want to do corporate communications at a fast-growth small-to-middle-sized B2B technology company.
