OUR Committees

Marketing Committee
MARKETING COMMITTEE

Every year, the marketing committee works toward creating and fulfilling fundraising events for our chapter in ways that are beneficial to our members, campus and community. With a committee consisting of 50+ members, we all strive to represent our chapter by hosting events such as headshot, food and skill improvement fundraisers. As a part of this committee, each member will gain valuable experience in event planning, promotion and execution and will have the opportunity to improve creative, marketing and communication skills.

PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE

As a part of the publications committee, your job is simple. Each committee member will write blog posts of 250-500 words in length on any topic relating to public relations. Members create their own deadlines, so they can write around their schedules. These submissions will be edited and featured on the UA PRSSA blog. In addition, committee members have the option to attend brainstorming sessions, as well as Write Nite, once every month. Members may create their own topics or take advantage of a topic bank to help with their subject choice and creative direction.

If you have any questions, please contact Alexandra Holley.

PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE

The promotions committee is responsible for any publicity of PRSSA. These promotions include poster designs and distribution, press releases, communication to professors and the A+PR department, as well as any communication to PRSSA National. Members of this committee will have the opportunity to create impressive design and/or writing pieces for their portfolio.

If you have any questions, please contact Morgan Wroblewski.

SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE

The social media committee is dedicated to raising awareness for UA PRSSA and expanding our reach. We use Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to promote chapter meetings, special events and professional development opportunities. Committee members gain experience in social media by creating campaigns, writing copy and developing strategies to increase brand awareness.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The membership committee's primary goal is to recruit active and engaged dues-paying members to ensure a prosperous future for our Chapter. As part of this committee, you will serve as an ambassador whose primary role is to recruit a diverse group of students to join PRSSA. In order to accomplish this goal, the committee will be involved in the creation and execution of a long-term communication plan for PRSSA membership development. Committee members will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in drafting the communication plan and executing different strategies and tactics.

COMMUNITY SERVICE & HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH COMMITTEE

The Community Service and High School Outreach committee is brand new to PRSSA! The purpose of this committee is to plan and lead all service projects, events and classes for the UA PRSSA Chapter. If you are passionate about a specific cause or just want to give back to the community, this committee may be for you! Members of this committee will have the opportunity to create and organize volunteer projects. In addition, members will be asked to lead career development classes at local high schools that will aim to teach students core professional communication skills.
